Dry needling

Dry needling is used to treat many conditions and help reduce pain, increase range of motion, and restore function for your every day life and the activities you love. Patients love this treatment for its ability to provide often immediate results, with minimal effort.

Benefits of dry needling.

  • Reduce pain.

Pain is often associated with spasmed muscles, whether that is in the neck, back, shoulder, or even feet. The form of dry needling that we practice effects more than just trigger points in the muscles, but also targets the neural and connective tissues.

  • Increase range of motion.

Dry needling can increase your range of motion by lengthening musculature. A muscle with spasms is held in a shortened state preventing you from reaching above your head, turning your neck when merging into traffic, or even touching your toes.

  • Restore function.

Overall, your goal is to return to the activities you love without pain. Dry needling can help you regain what was lost and let your life be found again.

Robert Malone has over 50 hours of hands on training for dry needling of the upper and lower body. Dry needling uses small, solid needles. These needles are so small that often, they cannot be felt when inserted. No medication is administered with dry needling, hence the name “dry.”

The form of dry needling we apply utilizes trigger point and non-trigger points that stem from several key traditional acupuncture points. However, dry needling is not the same as acupuncture, nor does it work within the traditional Chinese medicine beliefs.

Insurance does not cover dry needling and a physicians referral is required. Our Self Pay rate for dry needling alone is $45 per 30 minute treatment time.
